Mettā Atom makes genre-blending, high-energy electronic music built for the floor and for the headphones alike — immersive, festival-ready, carrying live elements into every set.
The name fuses two ideas: mettā, an ancient practice of loving-kindness, and atom, the smallest unit of the cosmos. The music lives in that space — old wisdom, carried forward through new instruments, sent out toward whatever is listening back.
Born in Berkeley, Mettā Atom has studied music his whole life — moving through instruments of every kind before falling deeply in love with wind instruments, then studying formally in New York and Los Angeles. He's produced on Ableton and other DAWs since 2009, and his catalog spans a wide range of genres, from afro to reggae/jawaiian. But house is home: tech house, progressive house, techno, and everything between, blended into new worlds built from positive, thought-provoking lyrics and deep sonic soundscapes, or percussive, bass-heavy dance tracks — deep club energy, festival-ready, and sunset-drive alike.
Based in Honolulu, Mettā Atom owns and runs Kala Waikiki, a venue built for the same sound the music lives in: lush, lantern-lit, and wide open to the sky.

Crucial Narrative is an independent label built around a simple idea: the infrastructure of the music industry — the recording, the release, the reach — should extend to artists working outside of it. The label works alongside musicians in developing nations, routing what listeners give straight back to the artists who earned it. No overhead layer in between. Just music, and the people who made it.
